My Journey at Myxa Manor: A Warm Welcome by Tasi Lemi

Hi everyone, I'm Tasi Lemi, the Accommodation Manager at Myxa Manor! I joined the Myxa family at the end of 2023, and it's been an incredibly rewarding experience so far.

What drew me to Myxa Manor was the chance to leverage my ten years of leadership experience in the community sector. In my role, I oversee participants accessing Myxa's Respite (STA & MTA) services at the Manor.

Myxa Manor itself is a welcoming space. Located in Balwyn, it features 30 multi-level rooms situated on a spacious acre of land. Our dedicated team works hard to create a comfortable and supportive environment tailored to the needs of our residents with disabilities.

One of the things I love most about Myxa is the strong positive culture. I feel incredibly supported by both my team members and the wider management team. This collaborative spirit fosters a truly positive work environment.

But the most rewarding aspect of my role is undoubtedly the opportunity to connect with the participants. A recent highlight involved working closely with a participant who was initially hesitant about staying at the Manor. Through building a trusting relationship, I'm happy to share that she's now thriving in her new home.

Witnessing such positive transformations makes coming to work every day truly meaningful. It's a privilege to be part of the Myxa team, and I look forward to continuing to make a difference in the lives of our participants.
